Bridging India and its Diaspora

We are a constructive and vibrant community group that works as a bridge between the growing Indian diaspora in the U.S. and Canada and the vast tapestry of communities that constitute the sub-continent of South Asia, most especially India. We exist as a bridge deploying technology and global institutions to enhance the connectivity between our communities. Unlike any time in the past, it is possible for connections to be built and maintained across 10,000 miles and continents.

FDC started as a volunteer collective over two decades ago and has been playing a role of being a transnational bridge organisation for a good part of the new Millenium. What is more, as the world experiences chronic crises—ecological, economic, and social—we believe that the diasporic communities have a responsibility towards communities at home and that the communities at home have much to teach us on how to negotiate and manage these crises
